Certain Cow Families Are Superior

At Davis Ranch, we are strong believers in cow families. We were fortunate enough to purchase several outstanding cows when we first started our Simmental breeding program. The descendants of these great cows are continuing to prove that outstanding cows mated to outstanding bulls will produce superior daughters and sons.

We were fortunate enough to purchase Future Palm from Driggers Simmental Farm as one of our foundation cows. Quiet and unimposing in her demeanor, she has produced nine calves in her lifetime, five sons and four daughters. "Future Palm" has done her job leaving outstanding offspring in the Driggers Simmental Farm as well as several progressive herds who have been fortunate enough to own one of her sons. (Pictured here at over 12 years of age, she is still very sound.)

"Ruby" was also purchased from Driggers Simmental Farm. She has produced 10 calves in her lifetime. She currently has the 10th one nursing her this calving season. We have sold two of her daughters back to Driggers Simmental and they are both standouts in their herd.

EDR Jewel - Sire: TSS/BOZ Bold Cat & her bull calf sired by CNS Dream On.

This handsome gentleman is a son of the high performance Simmental Sire, PCS DRG Heartbreaker 35L. Heartbreaker sired the top indexing Simmental and the second high indexing bull overall at the Tifton Bull Evaluation Center in 2006. We purchased this calf in dam from Powder Creek Simmentals in the late Spring of 2005. We will either enter him into the 2006/2007 Tifton Bull Evaluation Center program or the new Optimum Beef Bull Program this Fall. He is a standout from the word go and will make an excellent herd sire for any purebred or commercial herd.
